Final resurfacing and necessary maintenance of Wroughton Drive

Posted 15 Jan 2026, 11:58 a.m.

Following postal communications sent in October to Wroughton Drive residents please find an updated timeline of works below.

Until recently, Wroughton Drive has been under the responsibility of the housebuilder, Morris Homes. Necessary repairs and works have now been finalised which enables Urban&Civic to take responsibility of this area and complete its final resurface.

Urban&Civic accepted ownership in October last year, with inspections and remedial works ongoing throughout winter. Residents will be aware a traffic island has already been completed in this area. Resurfacing works to the road and some necessary maintenance to the footpaths will be carried out by Pheonix Surfacing. For any work related enquiries, contact Pheonix Surfacing directly via enquiries@pheonixsurfacing.com.

Please be aware, green verges along Wroughton Drive will also receive any required maintenance following the completion of the final road resurface.

Update: 29th January
The team have now completed inspections and surveys of the road and reviewed findings with Warwickshire Highways.

This has uncovered some additional drainage works which will need to take place alongside the final resurface of Wroughton Drive. The expected completion of all works is mid-March.

Addressing these issues now is essential to avoid more significant disruption, to progress to adoption and to avoid potential failures to the road surface.

Thank you for your understanding.
